Trinity launches new Community Garden!

Sunday was the dedication of a new community garden, designed by yours truly, for our church's front yard at Detroit Avenue and Hall. Here are some pics of the celebration and work efforts as well as the site plan.

Trinity Church is on the web!

I am now the webmaster for our new church website. Worked with Les Proctor and Chris Ceja to design this puppy and coordinate it with all the various chuch ministries. I'm very happy with the outcome; I think we got some great work done on a shoestring budget.

Sightseeing in Miami - can you spot the $30.00 maragarita?

Game 2 - The Dance ends in Miami

Arizona played a great game in defeating the Vikings, who fell back on unreliable 3-point attempts late in the game and learned a lesson about game recognition along the way. Congrats to the seniors on a great run! Joe played at the end and got in the books too.

It was a great experience to be part of the scene and I know the guys all recognized what they had been a part of. Thanks to Dan for GOING FOR IT and not hesitating to take the time to make the trip and talk me into it as well!

We're all looking forward to next year - go Vikes!

Cleveland State goes to the Big Dance!!!

OK, so it's been a few weeks. Dan, Drew and I flew to Miami to be with the Viking faithful. I got to fly through Philly with Doug Collins, form NBA player, coach of Michael Jordan before da Bulls won titles and now an NBA color guy for TNT. He had just done the Cavs gane the night before. Very good guy. He totally broke down the upcoming CSU / Wake Forest game for me, but he ended up being completely wrong (he said that CSU shold play zone all night, but they didn't).

Game 1 at the American Airlines Arena (home of D Wade and the Heat) was against the former no. 1 Demon Decons from Wake Forest, who had beaten both Duke and North Carolina during the regular season, but lost to Maryland in the ACC tournament. You can look up the details of this game somewhere else. Just know that the Vikings made them look like middle schoolers. Wake was totaly unprepared for the Vikes and this ended up being arguably the biggest upset of the tournament. And Pat Riley sat a fews rows behind us. We had watched Arizona / Utah prior to the WF game and we knew Arizona would pose some match-up problems...
