Diet Squirt, the new snapping turtle

Friday night of Labor Day Weekend, little Diet Squirt the snapping turtled started to labor his way out of an egg. By Monday morning he had made it out all the way. Now, he's a little moody and I don't know if he's eating much. He has already grown, however. Keep your fingers crossed.

He's named Diet Squirt in honor of our last snapping turtle, Squirt, who was released into the wild at Susie and Paul's house in Michigan on Father's Day Weekend 2009.

Getting Jazzy in June

Paige and the Lakewood High Jazz Workshop played at the opening of a new art gallery in Lakewood on Friday night. They played a lot of songs. Great job kids!
